Passive attenuators are two-port, four-terminal resistive networks designed to reduce signal power between a source and load, often serving both attenuation and impedance matching functions. These components find applications across various audio and RF technologies.

The iAttenuation tool provides resistor values for several common attenuator configurations, including:

Tee Network
Pi Network
H (Balanced Tee)
O (Balanced Pi)
Minimum Loss Pad

By inputting the source and load impedance values along with the desired attenuation level, iAttenuation automatically generates appropriate resistor calculations.

Additionally, the software offers the option to adjust resistor values to align with standard component tolerances, such as 1%, 5%, or 10%.
